Small bits of history are gleaned over the years.  We hear stories if we are lucky enough or we find an old photo or a box of letters and like a string in the Minotaur's cave we follow it to it's ending.  One person's trash is another's treasure - be it a story heard while baking or seeing to all the small jars in an old garage filled with nuts and bolts, the smell of the cool concrete underfoot.  The fabrics and thread of our mothers,  great grandmothers and eventually us teach us to sew not only clothing but traditions.  The weight of small things can bring with it a wealth and richness of history and stories that influence our lives.
